Susan has extensive retail marketing, new business development, brand strategy and store operations experience. During her career, she has worked for, and with, industry leaders and start-ups in home furnishings, fashion, beauty and consumer products across all sales channels and price points. She combines an analytical rigor with a strong consumer-centered philosophy to uncover opportunities to profitably revitalize existing brands or identify complementary product concepts that attract new customer segments. Her ability to create innovative marketing and merchandising programs has supported the successful launch of numerous product and service initiatives across the marketplace.

Susan has served as a senior marketing and business development executive for such noted organizations as Bloomingdale’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Saks Fifth Avenue and Avon Products. An MBA graduate from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, she also earned a BA/BS summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business. Susan currently serves as an advisory board member for the FIT Textile Design and Marketing Department and the SUNY Westchester Fashion Merchandising Department.

JIM STEFFENSEN

 Stockholm-20120805-00104Jim’s professional speciality is helping management teams identify and execute new growth initiatives to increase their competitiveness and profitability.    He is an experienced consumer marketer with an extensive background in managing business startups and marketing alliances in U.S. and international markets.  He is highly skilled at unlocking new sources of incremental, profitable growth through the integration of retail, direct marketing and e-commerce channels. Throughout his career, Jim has enjoyed the challenge of building new business units and revenue streams while simultaneously motivating employees and developing high-performance organizations.

Over the past three decades, Jim has held senior executive positions at AVON Products, the Neiman Marcus Group and Reader’s Digest.  He began his career as a consultant at Braxton Associates (since acquired by Deloitte & Touche) where he helped lead its entry into venture capital and turnaround consulting.  Jim received his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and BS from the University of Illinois.  He currently sits on the following corporate boards:
